Big Plant Tree Workshop

Are you interested in trees and would like to plant one in your yard? Come learn about trees and receive a free tree* to plant in your yard.

This workshop will cover the benefits of trees, how to select a suitable tree for your yard, and the basics of planting and caring for the tree. Following the workshop, participants will order a tree for pick-up at Mequon Nature Preserve.

 

All participants must have a means to pick-up and transport a tree approximately 4’-5’ tall (will fit in a standard vehicle), live within a participating community, and are either a homeowner or have permission from their landlord to plant a tree on their property.

 

You must be a resident of these communities to receive a tree: Bayside, Brown Deer, Brookfield, Butler, Caledonia, Cudahy, Elm Grove, Fox Point, Franklin, Germantown, Glendale, Greenfield, Hales Corners, Menomonee Falls, Mequon, Milwaukee, Muskego, New Berlin, Oak Creek, River Hills, Saint Francis, Shorewood, River Hills, Thiensville, Wauwatosa, West Allis, West Milwaukee, and Whitefish Bay.

 

Only one tree will be given per household
